Garmin GPSMAP 78 2.6-Inch Marine GPS Navigator and Worldwide Chartplotter

I have been using my Garmin GPSMAP 78 for a month now. Easy to use if you download the manual from Garmin.I also downloaded Garmin Base Camp free from Garmin. You can edit your tracks on your PC and transfer back to your GPS. I also purchased the power adaptor,mount and case. I use it on my boat in South Louisiana in freshwater canals that all look alike. I also mark all the good fishing spots. This is a must for the weekend fisherman. It also floats!!! The only added improvement would be a touch screen.

For what you get, this model is very simple to use, simple to get your data out and put in other forms. While not used in a maritime setting, we do cross streams, and wander down by the riverside....so the floating is nice. This was a big upgrade for me from older systems....so I was impressed with the bells and whistles too.
